Position Summary:

As a member of the Settlers Bay kitchen staff, you are an elemental part of our service and support team. In the restaurant and catering industry proper sanitation and organization is essential to the success of daily operation. Settlers Bay Golf Course holds to the highest standards of cleanliness, and without your consistent contribution and effort we would be unable to reach those standards. You are the unsung heroes of the restaurant!

Business Objective:

  • Arrive on-time and ready to work in the proper uniform while meeting all grooming and hygiene requirements
  • Be dependable for regularly scheduled hours and available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of course maintenance as directed by the Assistant Superintendent
  • Safety- Capable of competently and efficiently working in conjunction with all chemical and equipment safety procedures manual guidelines
  • Situational Awareness- Monitor and observe guests to avoid disruption while concurrently completing tasks quickly
  • Must have a strong work ethic and the desire to learn in order to accelerate efficiency of tasks throughout the season
  • Able to receive and carry out specific instructions; Takes Direction well and open to instruction from management or leadership

Position Outline, Requirements, and Responsibilities:

  • Load, run and unload dish machine
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware in assigned storage areas
  • Bag and haul trash, recycling, and, compost to designated areas at designated times
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required
  • Assist with light prep and food handling during high volume business
  • Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time
  • Be physically able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 60 pounds
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Other restaurant tasks as required by management or leadership
