As of Monday, October 29th, the putting greens were aerified in preperation for the coming winter months on Monday August 20th. This started the big push to put the turf in the best possible position to make it through another winter. The greens are fully recovered and back to what you have come to expect from us here at the bay. We are currently mowing the greens @ .300" and will be raising the HOC each week by .020" in order to stimulate carbohydrate reserve for winters wrath. Each year we are seeing more and more bentgrass calling "Alaska's Best Putting Greens" Home. We were on all regulation greens and remained so till the snow stuck on Monday October 29th, without covers or temp greens of any kind. We received close to 1" of snow on the Oct. 29th and will plan to remained closed till the spring of 2019. The 2019 Season Pass Sales Started Monday, October 1, 2018. We were able to get the golf course rated to reflect our new tee boxes and new set of tees that were added 3 years ago. Tees are now Black, Blue, White, Green. The out of bounds on holes 12 and 13 have been removed and is no longer a local rule. Play the ball as it lies on those two holes from now on. The Alaska Golf Association provided the rerate and informed us the slope was lowered one point for the Men. The driving range is closed for the 2018 golf season. We are reshaping the range adding 4 times the teeing space and creating the valley's largest event amphitheater/driving range. The Albatross Restaurant is closed for the 2018 season, where "Artisanal Food is Complimented with Local Brews, Spirits, & Great Views." The yard games Croquet, Bocce Ball, Corn Hole, Chippo and Giant Jinga have been put away in preperation for winters wrath. The fire pits and patio heaters have been put away as well.
