Settlers Bay Golf Course is open for the 2019 season! We are on tarped greens as our maintenence crew works to stimulate the turf and allow us offer the best putting experiance. We will be removing a significant portion of the tarps on Monday May 13th. In an effort to keep you off of temporary greens we allowed a portion of the green to remain open during the first phase of the recovery. We will be working on those smaller portions over the next ten days to finish the recovery phase of the 2018/2019 winter slaughter. There will be a maintence greens fee of $30, not including cart during this period. We will be updating the website, facebook, and the messaging system to reflect our ability to enhance your experience as a golfer on "Alaska's Best Putting Greens". Thanks for playing Settlers Bay.
We were able to get the golf course rated to reflect our new tee boxes and new set of tees that were added 3 years ago. Tees are now Black, Blue, White, Green. The out of bounds on holes 12 and 13 have been removed and is no longer a local rule. Play the ball as it lies on those two holes from now on. The Alaska Golf Association provided the rerate and informed us the slope was lowered one point for the Men. The driving range is closed for the 2019 golf season till further notice. We are reshaping the range adding 4 times the teeing space and creating the valley's largest event amphitheater/driving range. We have all the dirt work done and will be seeding it early next week. Expect the range to open mid June 2019.
The Albatross is back open and running with their selective menu of pizzas, sandwiches and snacks. Early season hours will be from 12-7PM Monday - Sunday. The yard games Croquet, Bocce Ball, Corn Hole, Chippo and Giant Jinga will be out to bring fun to the entire family. Fire pits and patio heaters will be available to take off the early spring chills.
We look forward to "Enhancing your Experience!"
