Ladies, have you ever wanted to learn the game of golf and didn't know how to get started?? Get Golf Ready is designed to teach you everything you'll need to play golf in just a few lessons from golf lingo to getting out onto the course. At Settlers Bay Golf Course, Becky will show you that there are lots of ways to play by combining fun, friends and fitness. Each session will focus on the various golf skills you will use while playing. In addition to learning the basics, you will be guided onto the golf course to put your skills into action in a casual, friendly setting.


There will be 5 sessions during a two and a half week period on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Dates will be available soon!

Get Golf Ready is a program designed by Play Golf America and the PGA

Level 1 Class: Beginner

$175

June 4th, 6th, 11th, 13th, & 18th

5:30pm - 6:30pm + 6:45pm - 7:45pm

    • Warm up, stretching and wellness tips
    • The best ways to hold the club and get ready before you take a swing
    • Getting the ball close to the hole — chipping, pitching and other shots from short distances
    • Caring for the course
    • Getting comfortable with the full swing
    • Using your irons to get the ball in the air and onto the green
    • Learning the 'lingo', like fairway & rough, tee box & green, divot & bunker, and more
    • Having more fun using 'It's Okay' as the way to play
    • Swinging your driver and other 'big' clubs to hit the long shots
    • Starting your play from the correct tee markers — use TEE IT FORWARD to have more fun
    • Helpful shortcuts to save time while you play
    • Linking all that you've learned to play a few holes
    • Tips for playing in groups, on teams and other fun ways to play
    • Getting you more comfortable on the course and where to drive the cart
    • Review of the rules and keeping score

Level 2 Class: Refresher

Level 3 Class: Advanced

$45 per session

his is a more advanced class for those with prior golf experiance or have completed the level 2 class. For these sessions they are drop in classes that you only pay on the sessions you attend. Each class will start with a quick 1/2 hour lesson over a more specific golf topic. Ladies will be broken up into groups and then will go play on the course with on course instruction. Each session will have a different type of golf format to learn different types of scoring and games.
